Old Dean Community Group 2018 or ODCoG is a registered charity with charity number 1181021.
There is a long legal version of what we are about in our constitution. The constitution provides the formal legal basis for us to be a charity and is in the format required by the Charity Commission. It defines how we will meet our legal obligations as a charity.
However, a simpler, friendlier version of our objectives, is that we aim to:
- Provide recreation and leisure time occupation for anybody in Old Dean who is for some reason disadvantaged
- Improve things in Old Dean
- Help build skills and capabilities in the Old Dean community.
The Old Dean Community Group is run by a Management Committee which meets every two months at St Martin’s on the second Tuesday of odd numbered months at 5:15 pm. Anyone in Old Dean can come along and listen.
There are currently five Trustees who carry the legal responsibility for what ODCoG does and how it is run. They are:
- Rodney Bates – Chairman
- Trefor Hogg – Secretary
- Roger Webb – Treasurer
- Shaun Garrett
- Tara Gibbons
